Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jameson; September 2, 1966)[3][4][5[5]] is a Mexican and American actress and film producer. Her professional career began in Mexico with starring roles in the Telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as also in the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she earned an Ariel Award nomination. With appearances in films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999) In 1999, she quickly made her mark as a leading actress in Hollywood. Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002), which she also wrote and directed, was the first Mexican actress to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress[6] and additionally earned her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek played the lead in the action-packed Once Upon a Time in Mexico films over the next years and concentrated more on producing.
