Bellamy Young
Young began her acting career as an actress in the theatre. Her Broadway debut in 1997 when she played Mary, the first cast in the musical The Life. The actress has appeared Off-Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's music production Merrily we Roll Along (1994) as well as Randy Newman's Faust (1995-1996). The year 1995 was the year she made her TV debut on a recurring character in"The Other World," an NBC daytime soap show Another World as Dr. Courtney Evans. The year 1997 was the same and in 1998 she was a guest star on Law & Order, playing two characters. Her debut on film came in 1999. Her debut film was one minor part in Black and White. In the following years she appeared in a variety of independent films. She began guest-starring in television dramas and comedies in the early 2000s. They were among them The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. From 2000 until 2011 Young had more than 30 guest appearances on TV shows. As of 2003, Young became part of The USA Network show Peacemakers. After nine episodes, the series ended after a single season. She had recurring roles in the Lifetime legal drama series For the People as Deputy Dist. Atty. Agnes Hunt in 2002, on NBC historical drama American Dreams as Diane Shaw in 2003, on NBC's Scrubs as Dr. Grace Miller in 2004 As Assistant State Attorney Monica West on CBS's CSI: Miami (2005-06), and in the ABC primetime soap series Dirty Sexy Money (2008-2009) in the role of Ellen Darling, the eldest daughter-in-law of the Darling family. Between 2011 and 2013, she portrayed Beth Clemmons in Criminal Minds.
